Responsibilities:
Job Purpose
Drafters' drawings provide visual guidelines and show how to construct a product or structure. Drawings include technical details and specify dimensions, materials, and procedures. Drafters fill in technical details using drawings, rough sketches, specifications, and calculations made by engineers, surveyors, architects, or scientists
Job Responsibilities:
* Electrical draft for active transformer active part using current generation CAD software (AutoCAD).
* Ensures that drawings meet ALSTOM and industrial requirements.
* Carry out drafting tasks accurately and in a timely fashion.
* Preparation of Bills of Materials (BOM).
* Assists the Production department in on-going production issues.
* Carries out small design and trouble shooting tasks with some degree of independence.
* Becomes conversant with ALSTOM standards and industry standards and specifications.
* Assists with the resolution of problems linked to on-going production and in-service products, in co-ordination with QA, production and Service.
* Performs other duties as necessary or assigned
Requirements:
* Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Specialized training or adequate experience in CAD design expected
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
* Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate design and engineering concepts
* Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
* Full-Time and Contract position available.
